Join NTEU for a Lunchtime Rally for Employee Rights July 25

Next Wednesday, NTEU will present arguments in our lawsuit against the President's anti-employee executive orders. These orders limit NTEU’s ability to represent employees, make it easier to fire hard-working employees where a manager and employee have a personality conflict, and restrict collective bargaining at government agencies. This undermines decades of federal law that govern labor-management relations in the federal sector.

NTEU is joining with other federal unions for a July 25 lunchtime rally….

Chapter 280 Urges Management to Prepare for DC Racist Rally

On the anniversary of the Charlottesville violence, the same racist/nationalist group that perpetrated the Charlottesville violence will rally in DC near the White House. The rally, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 11 & 12, could impact federal employees on Thursday, Friday, and Monday as rally participants arrive in DC.

AFGE/Sierra Club Rally to Save the Environment

Our sister union, AFGE Local 3331, is jointly sponsoring a rally to save the environment with the Sierra Club outside EPA Headquarters. NTEU is supporting AFGE in this rally and encourages you to use your lunch time to attend.

Rally takes place from noon - 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15, outside the WJC north & south buildings on the 12th street side. Wear your NTEU Chapter 280 t-shirt, if you have one!

Any time in excess of your normal lunch period is considered non-work time and should be accounted for through leave, credit hours, or other absence time.

How do you get one? Bargaining unit employees (members and non-members) who attend the Legislative Rally on March 2 from 11:30 - 12:30 will get one, if they pre-register. The rally happens on the U.S. Capitol's west front lawn. T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so pre-register quickly to ensure you get one. But you must show up to get your reserved t-shirt!

The rally happens:

where: U.S. Capitol, West Front Lawn
