Federal employees and their families headed to college should apply for financial help offered by the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA). The deadline for scholarship applications is just eight weeks away (March 25).
Who is eligible? Full and part-time federal employees and their spouses, children, step-children, and legal dependents. Scholarships range between $1,000 and $5,000 for one year of academic study at an accredited college or university. Since 1986, 10,000 students have received $14 million in scholarships from FEEA.
